Cumbow, of Columbus (OH), was most recently employed with Wal Tom Racing, initially working with Brian Schwartz and spent the past couple of seasons with Robbie Pyle. During the 2000 season, Cumbow and Pyle worked together placing second in the 2000 Pat Schauer Memorial Rookie of the Year standings behind Georgia competitor Joey Clanton. Bringing 20 years of experience in short track racing, Cumbow should benefit Beattie, as the three-year veteran continues to grow his knowledge on the ASA Racing Series.
